Playtech Receives Healthy Boost in Profits

Poker software company Playtech posted an impressive 71% rise in net profit for 2009 according to a recent financial statement.

Playtech, which designs and licenses software for the sites on the iPoker network, credited a joint venture with William Hill as one of the main factors that led to increased profits.

“This has been a significant year of growth for Playtech,” said Roger Withers, Playtech Non-executive chairman.
