Mcdpoker has been a fan of Jonathan Lttle for some while now and once we got hold of Jonathan Little Secrets earlier in the year we just had to ask him to reveal some some of the tactics he uses to win at poker on a consistent basis.
Below are some of the questions Jonathan has kindly answered for mcdpoker readers to not only improve their game but win consistently! Read on and enjoy!
Q1. I want to become a winning player, what do I need to do?
Jonathan Little Answer,
Here’s what I recommend you do if you want to become a winning player:
1. GET Quality Training Videos such as my Jonathan Little Secrets
2. STUDY The Videos.
3. EMULATE The Playing Style In The Videos.
4. PRACTICE Sound Bankroll Management.
5. PLUG Your Leaks.
6. TRACK Your Results.
7. REPEAT Steps 2 Through 6.
That’s it. The key is to constantly WORK on improving your game.
Q 2, That’s pretty sound advise Jonathan, but what about advanced players that have watched your videos, how can they win more money playing poker?
Jonathan Little Answer,
Time and time again I hear poker players talk about how they are the greatest in the world and they know all there is to know about the game. Usually around a year later, these players end up broke.
Poker is not a standard, solved game, as there are just too many moves to accurately predict the optimal way to play against each opponent. Also, no two opponents are the same. You must constantly keep up on the way a standard game flows, as well as howthe current games are playing.
A great example of this is to look at the tournament scene ten years ago versus the tournaments of today. Ten years ago, if you stole more blinds than everyone else, you were almost certain to win money. In today’s game, players constantly raise and reraise. Because of this, you have to sit back a little more and wait for these over aggressive opponents to give their money to you. I strongly believe the best way to learn about poker is to watch videos of the best players playing the game you want to learn about.
Q3, Excellent stuff, you mentioned tournament play in your last answer, but what about Cash game play?
Jonathan Little Answer,
If you are trying to learn tournaments, there is no point in watching cash game videos. Also, you need to pay attention to the way good players play and think. You should not only try to emulate these players but also try
to figure out an appropriate counter strategy to beat these great players.
The most important thing in poker is to be flexible. Just because you had a great strategy to beat the games two years ago does not guarantee you will be able to beat the games of today.
If you constantly think about and study the game, you will have great results in your future. If you want to learn how I play the game and take your game to the next level, Check out and watch My Training Videos and never stop learning.
Q4, Thanks Jonathan, great advise anything else to add before we go?
JL Answer,
Yeah sure, Here’s a “little” trick you can use to get maximum value
out of your training videos.
Start watching the video, and whenever the action comes around to me, pause the video and think about what you would do in this situation.
Analyze your position, your chip stack, your opponents’ chip stacks, and anything else you can pick up on that might factor into your decision. Decide how you would play the hand and then unpause the video to see what I do.
Experience the video in this way and I guarantee you will learn more than you’ll learn by just watching the video straight through.
Watch the Video and Try It Out For Yourself
Good luck at the tables,
Jonathan Little
